K

k- :   see kilo.

kHz : kilohertz :   1000 Hz.

kilo : k :   SI prefix = 103   see other SI Units

kilogram : kg :   the base unit of mass in the SI and MKS versions of the metric system. The kilogram is defined as the mass of the standard kilogram.

1 kg = 1000 g ~ 2.204 pounds

kilogram metre : kg·m :

1:- a metric unit of work or energy equal to 9.806 65 joules (J).
2:- a metric unit of torque equal to 9.806 65 newton meters (N·m).

kilogram metres squared per second squared : kg·m2·s-2 :   energy or work, the derived SI unit is the Joule J

1 kg·m2·s-2 = 1 J = 1 N·m = 1 W·s = 107 ergs

kilogram metres per second : kg·m/s :   the SI unit of momentum.

1 kg·m/s = 1 N·s

kilogram metre per second squared : kg·m/s² :   measurement of force - the derived SI unit is the Newton :

1 kg·m·s-2 = 1 N = 105 dynes

kilogram per cubic metre : kg/m3 :   density

kilogram per metre per second squared : kg/m/s² :   measurement of pressure - see the Pascal.

1 kg/m/s2 = 1 pascal (Pa) = 1 N/m2 = 1 J/m3 = 10-5 bar

kilohertz : kHz :   1000 Hz.

kilopascal : kPa :   a common metric unit of pressure.

1 kilopascal = 1000 pascals (Pa) = 10 millibars (mb)
